The Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches is happy to announce the resumption of its annual Concelebration of the Divine Liturgy for the faithful Oriental Orthodox Christians of the Philadelphia Region.
This year’s liturgy will also be a special prayer for our Armenian fathers, brothers, and sisters who are facing the threat of genocide in the region of Artsakh. As His Holines Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians said in his solemn remarks on Armenia’s Independence Day, the faithful people of Artsakh “are facing a dire, existential threat. A century after the Armenian Genocide, under the eyes of the civilized world, our people are once again tasting the bitterness of genocide”.
God willing, the Holy Liturgy will begin at 10:30 am, hosted by the clergy and faithful of:
St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church
630 Clothier Road
Wynnewood, PA 19096
Please save the date and join us in this important prayer and celebration of the Holy Eucharist which binds us all together in Our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ and our common Oriental Orthodox Faith and makes of us one people in Him.
In the words of the V. Rev. Father Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church (Eastern): “Let us stand united in prayer, asking for God’s merciful intervention in this grave situation”.
