Bishops of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches Convene for Winter Meeting


Old Tappan, NJ – His Eminence Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho hosted the Winter Bishops Meeting of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches (SCOOCh) at the headquarters of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church on Monday, January 22, 2024. Also in attendance were SCOOCh President His Grace Bishop David of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of New York & New England, His Eminence Mor Dionysios John Kawak of the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of the Eastern United States, His Eminence Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Diocesan Legate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church in the United States (Eastern), and His Grace Bishop Gabriel, General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Archdiocese of North America.
 
The assembled hierarchs discussed a number of important issues and then were treated to a delicious meal of Keralan cuisine provided by their gracious hosts. His Eminence Mor Titus also showed his guests the Archdiocesan Cathedral, at which, God willing, His Eminence will host the next SCOOCh Concelebrated Liturgy in the fall.
