Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Hierarchs Join Together in Prayer, Renew Dialogue

HAWORTH, NJ – On Thursday, April 21, the hierarchs of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches and the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops joined together in prayer at St. Gabriel Syriac Orthodox Church for the safe return of the Oriental and Eastern Orthodox Archbishops of Aleppo – H.E. Yohannes Ibrahim and H.E. Boulos Yazigi – as well as for the millions suffering in the Middle East.

It is anticipated by both Standing Conference and the Assembly that this service will be the first step in renewing the presently lapsed North American dialogue between the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches.
