Old Tappan, NJ – On June 23, 2022 His Eminence Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho and the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church hosted the summer meeting of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches (SCOOCh).

Gathered together with His Eminence were the President of SCOOCh His Grace Bishop David of the Coptic Orthodox Church, His Eminence Mor Dionysios John Kawak of the Syriac Orthodox Church, His Grace Bishop Daniel Findikyan of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and His Eminence Mor Silvanos Ayub of the Knanaya Syriac Orthodox Church. The Standing Conference officially welcomed the new Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church, the Very Reverend Father Mesrop Parsamyan, and discussed a number of pressing matters, including its ongoing dialogues with the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches and the present state of affairs in the Eritrean Orthodox Church. Others topics tackled included the resumption of in-person activities (such as concelebrated liturgies, youth conferences, and other events) after the disruption produced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the meeting, the attendees gathered for an agape meal.
